What is your role?
“My name is Jennifer White. I am the head of HR here at Consulting Point. I have been with this company since February 2005. I joined them just after leaving another company working in HR back for the Council, back in the day.
Consulting Point has been around since September 2003 and I have been pivotal to be literally at the starting end with them to the way they’ve grown to now.”
Tell us more about your recruitment consultancy?
“Consulting Point’s background and speciality is that we’re a management consulting firm, so basically we recruit for the big four, so anything from Cat Gemini, Accenture, Axon, you name it, that’s what we do. We currently recruit for supply chain, CRM, SAP, oracle, in technology, entertainment, media, banking – you name it and we have a foot in their somewhere where we are recruiting for these people.”
Why did you choose Colleague Software?
“Well when I came on-board Colleague was already in place. My MD spoke to a guy called Bal at the time who sold us the idea. The selling point for my MD was simply that we could gather our entire candidates-clients database in one place. Not only that, Colleague was very forthcoming in the way that it delivers and stores the information, it can do a lot more than we thought. So it was one of the selling points of the things it can do that made us buy into it.”
How has Colleague Software helped your business?
“Oh yeah, there is always going to be examples, especially when dealing with consultants. Basically, because of the way Colleague is setup I can go in and I can see what a consultant is doing on a day-to-day basis. I call pull reports, I can see stats, I can see how many sales they’ve done — and being a sales environment that is pivotal to our business. So for me, the fact I can go in and see exactly what needs to be done and what they have done, I can draw up all their reports, and say, well you’re not doing what you’re supposed to be doing.”
How have you found Colleague’s support services?
“The Colleague Software support service is amazing. I have one particular person I deal with all the time, I always ask for him, his name is Mohammed, because I like to just pick on him funnily enough, which is quite good and every time he hears my voice, ‘oh gosh not Jenni again.’ But actually the atmosphere and camaraderie we have actually works very well. Every time I call the fact they know me by name is an added bonus for me because it brings to life that it is a one on one relationship, I feel they are there for me as a business, it will get the stuff done that I need to get done, and I don’t have to stress. So if I call them up, be it Owen or Mohammed, or whoever I speak to, it’s like, ‘Hi Jenni, how are you, what can we do for you today?’.”
Would you recommend Colleague Software to other recruitment consultancies?
“Yes I would recommend Colleague Software. I have actually recommended it to two other businesses that are currently using another database service and I recommended that they give you guys a call, and just literally see what it is you have to offer. Wherever or not they have done, I am not sure, but I would definitely recommend Colleague consistently to everybody that I know.”
